"Received the results of MRI and CT scan
today. Everything was clear except for a spot at the point of
surgery. Doctors are following a strategy of "watchful waiting".
I feel good, still tire easily
but am regaining some of the weight I lost.

you for all your prayers and words of encouragement.

Noble Masslich:
"I want to thank each of you for your
notes, prayers and support during my recovery from spinal surgeries.
Kathy mailed me a big bag of notes and materials right after the
reunion, which I thoroughly enjoyed!. I regret not seeing & visiting
everyone at the reunion. But, I am recovering remarkable well -
walking, riding my bike around town, etc." |

Janet
Heide had a surprise trip to a Providence, RI hospital early
in October for the removal of a 3-inch tumor around her spinal cord in
the middle of her back. Here is a note from Janet::
"Your many prayers and messages have
overwhelmed me and truly brought tears of joy. I love hearing from all
of you. Thank you so much.
"Following the
operation, the visit with the oncologist was very informative. The news
was good and we're going for the cure. Odds are 40 - 70% complete cure,
which I'm told are very good odds. The cancer looks like low grade
b-cell lymphoma. (Low grade is a good thing). The cancer is not
aggressive and we have time to wait to thoroughly find out as much as
possible before starting treatment.
"I can't begin to tell you how positive we feel and every day my
strength is greater. Your prayers and messages have definitely helped.
We will keep you informed, like it or not!!! Please keep remembering us
in your prayers. Thank you. Love to you all."

Noble Masslich has recently had three
surgeries on his spine.
As a result, he missed the 50th reunion. Noble now, however, is on
the road to recovery. Will be in a rehabilitation center for a few
weeks. |
